The Raseborg region offers wonderful delicacies, where locally produced goods and organic treats are a way of life. Take the tasty tour in one day by car, or bicycle your way through in a couple of days. A long weekend tasting delights is never a bad idea either.

Ekenäs market

On Wednesdays and Saturdays local fishermen sell herring, perch, pike-perch and whitefish freshly caught nearby. Don't forget the herring rolls, pickled herring and fish burgers that have been locally prepared. On other tables are locally grown tomatoes, cucumbers and lettuce, root vegetables, onions, potatoes and carrots. In late summer the region's juicy apples ripen and berries and mushrooms are delicacies from the nearby forests.

Ekenäs Old Town

We can explore the garden cafés in Ekenäs that bake their own pastries. Café Gamla Stan is a red cottage and a picturesque garden with apple trees offers chocolate, strawberry and lemon cakes as well as  savoury pies. Troubadours perform in the garden every Tuesday in the summer. The café is open daily in the summer and before Christmas. On the market square is Café Carl de Mumma, open early, where you can buy fresh bread, sandwiches, rolls and pastries. Just off the pedestrian street is café Wi-Box, selling delicious muffins, tarts and other sweet and savoury delicasies.

Tenala

Frimans supermarket has a wellstocked cheese counter, including local cheese produced in nearby arms. Café Villa Skarp on the store's second floor serves their own sandwiches and rolls. It also sells ice cream
from the local Herrgårds ice cream company. If you're hungry you should visit Restaurant Bakfickan and have a really nice lunch or dinner.

Mörby gård

Mörby gård Farm Shop is located halfway between Tenala and Fiskars. The organic farm's versatile meat range is something completely different than what you find in supermarket refrigerators. Try the organic
flour, whose coarse richness gives bread an extra good taste. Vegetables are also for sale. Adjacent to the store cows moo and the farm cat slips around corners. A country Christmas market is held every year on the farm.

Pojo and Fiskars Village

FiskarsinKellotorniOn the way to Fiskars is the organic bakery and café Backers Baker. The bakery produces its own grain on an organisc farm in Snappertuna and bakes the most wonderful breads and pastries according to Finnish tradition.
